Fun at Macey's Market

The grocery store had a day of Halloween fun for the kids. They loved riding in the shopping cart. After driving it, I know why I never get hat one. What a pain to navigate! Sydney got to decorate a cookie in the bakery and trick or treat in each department. They had fun.

Ward Fall Harvest

Our ward had a fall harvest party on Friday. It was fabulous, probably the best activity I've ever been to in this ward. Unfortunately Jason couldn't come because of his work schedule. I was spoiled most of the night with young women and friends taking the kids. It felt weird, but good.Getting our little ducky ready!
They did hayrides. As soon as we got there, Sydney did not want to go on it. Then she went on because her nursery leader Heather was on. And of course, our dear sweet Maryann took Kimberly.
The little girl that Sydney is hugging is Allyson, her BFF. They were doing a cake walk with cupcakes.
Sharon helped Sydney roast hot dogs which Sydney loved! Sharon is one of my best friends and like another second mother to me. We actually met in December when we were put in the Primary Presidency together. It only took a short time to know that I wanted her at Kimberly's birth. It's amazing how the Lord works!

I love that we got two years out of Sydney's Triceratops costume. I had her try it on in September and I had the intention of lending it out, but once it was on, she wanted to be it again!
Rebecca helped me out tons and took Sydney trunk or treating that we just did on a table.
Me and my adorable girls!

Birthday #2

My mom and brothers sent Sydney money for her birthday. She had so much fun shopping and spending it. It was so nice to not have to worry about price. She got princess snow boots, Tinkerbell tennis shoes, Dora pjs and a princess dress up set. All for a little under $60!

We had a little wet stuff on our grass this morning. I can't go outside to the trash or mail with my shadow.
They are the best of friends! I love it!

Sydney's 3rd Birthday Party

We gave Sydney her first friend party. It was so much fun. I was stressed leading up to it, but now I realize that was ridiculous. Everyone had fun and all went well. I was so stressed because Sydney wanted a wiggles party and you can't buy those decorations in the store. Thankfully I have a wonderful husband that made them! When I was growing up, a very close family made birthday posters. I decided this year to that tradition. I cheated and printed pictures off the internet, but she loved it! This si Sydney waking up to everything. She wouldn't go to bed last night. I joked to a friend I would be up till 1:30 and ended up being up till 1am. It was all worth it!
Sydney is "helping" frost her cake!
Sydney with her dad who dressed up as the yellow wiggle...She loved that!
Instead of doing balloons for decorations, I blew a few up and let the kids have a go at some.
I found this kitchen set on the internet for $20. It came with a box full of dishes and fake food. When we uncovered this, Sydney was like, uh huh and walked away, but it didn't take long before her and her friends were happily playing.
I made a cake for later that night. I thought it would be fun for the kids to frost and decorate their own cupcakes. They loved it.

I ended the party with a treasure hunt for their goody bags. It was so simple and so fun. I started with a map and then each place had a picture of the place of the next treasure. I ended with the refrigerator full of drinks, necklaces and rings.

Jason's parents and sister stopped by with a gift after her party. She asked for a pillow pet and got it. She had to sleep with it that night. She actually took her pillow off her bed and told me she didn't need that one anymore because she had her ladybug.
I was super nervous making her cake this year, but it turned out way better than I thought.

Sydney turns 3

I can't believe my baby is three!!! I don't know how it happened, but she just suddenly grew up! She doesn't have a rail on her bed, no booster seat for meals, working on not using a bib anymore.... What the heck?! And she has become quite the story teller now. She's always saying stuff like, "And the other day....". It's hilarious! She is one busy and active girl. She loves to play outside and ride her bike. She loves to have friends over to play or play at their house. Sometimes she loves her friend's moms more than me. She even has them take her to nursery on Sunday instead of us. What happened? Sometime I feel like she doesn't need me anymore, but then she comes up and says "I know that I love you mom," and gives me a big hug and kiss. She's such a sweet girl. It's moments like these that make being a parent all worth it. She's a great big sister. She tries to help out so much. She is the best at making Kimberly laugh. She doesn't even have to do much to do that. She loves baths with Kimberly. She finally has a friend to play with in there! She continues to Love books and reading with mom. She knows her ABC's and can count to fifteen. We are still working on colors. She tells me when lights are green to go and stop on red. It amazes me how quickly they learn. We love being her mom and look forward to all the fun times ahead!

Teething

Kimberly has been teething so bad lately. She just screams till I give her some medicine. I've heard a carrot is good for them to chew on. She wasn't quite sure what to think...
