Christmas

We had the traditional german cold cuts on Christmas Eve. We stayed home this year for the first time. A big snow storm hit down in Nephi. Last year we got stranded there. This year I decided to listen to my husband and stay home. It was actually really nice just the three of us.
This is Sydney just waking up.

She loved her M&Ms!

She also got a new toothbrush and toothepaste in her stocking.
Once Sydney got her broom and baby, it was over for her. She loves helping mama and dragging my big broom all over the house.
Jason got me a steam juicer. Sydney got me canning tools. No more burning myself! Now I need to start saving for a canner. The n I won't need to borrow it all from my wonderful neighbor.
Sydney ran to the oven when the timer went off with breakfast. It's so cute how she runs over to tell me the timer is going off.
We had our traditional breakfast casserole. It is so yummy!

Sydney loved her new bath toy!

Brushing Teeth

Sydney is getting so big! She loves to brush her teeth!

Box Girl

I know I have blogged about this before, so bare with me please. Sydney always has to climb into anything she can fit in: laundry basket, box, plastic container, etc. I was in the kitchen the other day doing something. Sydney was being really quiet. So I turned around and this is what i found.... Silly Sydney! We love her!

Baking Cookies

Sydney is always helping me with everything. She's gotta be right there. Last week we baked some christmas cookies. Here are a few pics...

She spent more time eating cookie dough than anything else!

SNOW!!!

Sydney stepping out into the snow for the first time... Thank you Grandma Thompson for the snowpants and coat!
As you can see, she loved it.

She was taking a little break from watching mama shovel.

She kept veering off into the grass...

She loves to sit on the porch, or any step! She had a blast watching the kids walk to the bus stop. She tried to follow them a few times.

She used the rail for support to get herself up.

Falling down and loving it!

We shoveled this morning. Sydney absolutely loved it! Here's a video of her attempting to get up in the snow...

Trimming the Tree

Sydney loves the lights!
She helped Daddy put on the angel.
Sydney put the first ornament on...

And then took it off!

I handed the ornaments to Sydney, she handed them to Jason, then he put them on. Sydney is so fun this year!
"OOOO"
She moved too much. That is why the picture is blurry. She loved the bells though. She kept putting them in her mouth and then say "ucky". Repeat. It was a game.
She was trying to wear the garland like a boa. She does this with Jason's belts and ties too.
We put up the tree yesterday. I wanted to wait, but couldn't resist. Sydney has been getting so excited seeing the lights. She just loves looking at it when the lights are on. WE had to keep the ornaments high so she wouldn't grab them off.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus

I took Sydney to an open house at Costco last night. They were taking free Santa pics. You got a 4x6 free. Then I had a 5x7 and 2 4x6s printed up for less than a buck! What a steal! Sydney has loved seeing Santa in pictures ans statutes. But once she saw him, she was nearly in tears.

In Memory

I just found out that my baby doctor passed away from a fight with Lou Gehrig's disease. He was only diagnosed four months ago. What a heartbreaking shock. I loved him. He actually went on vacation to Mexico on my due date. His partner Dr. Wylie delivered Sydney. I was a little upset it wasn't going to be him, but maybe it was good it wasn't. Now I'll be comfortable going to Dr. Wylie with the next one someday. He was an amazing person, so upbeat and encouraging. He'll be missed!

Dr. Appt.

Sydney started to feel better last night. We were walking by Jason's crackers I had set out for work, and she started saying "num, num". I went and made her some toast. She pigged out! She was bouncing off the walls last night: running, screaming, squealing,laughing... It was music to my ears! She only woke up to feed last night. We went to the Dr. today. She checked out. She gained .4 lbs. in two days. It took her 24 hrs. to urinate, but it is lightening up. Her UTI med is working. We still have to keep her home till Monday till she fully recovers. WE don't want to spread this to someone at church.
Sydney loves boxes and baskets!

I went to dress her for the DR. Appt. and I found her in her stroller basket. Silly girl!

Sydney Update

Sydney is still sick. We took her to the Dr. today. Since she hasn't been able to keep anything down, they felt her stomach and everything seemed okay. But just to make sure, they sent us over to Central Utah Clinic for an ultrasound to make sure there was no mass or obstruction in her stomach. That made me really nervous. As a mother, so many horrible things go through your head. Jason wasn't worried at all. Everything checked out. They diagnosed her with Rotavirus. She was vaccinated, but that only helps with the vomitting and severe diarrhea. We are that 2% it didn't help. They sent us home with a prescription of supposatories to help her keep things down. Yah!? I don't remember signing up for that when I became a mom! I was really nervous of giving her that. But with Jason's help, it wasn't too bad. They are really concerned of her being dehydrated. W go back tomorrow to frop a urine sample off. Hopefully! She hasn't peed in 2 days! Well, she did peee this morning, but it was brown. So they think she has a UTI. So she has a lovely cathader thing on. I dread having to take that off. I'll keep everyone updated! I think she'll be okay. Jason and his buddy gave her a blessing earlier and I felt good about that. Well, I'm exhausted guys! Good night!
