Suspenders

Our little Sydney is quite the petite girl. She is outgrowing her 12 month paants and is ready for the next size. However, most of them fall off our slender girl, even brand new ones. My mom suggested suspenders. I searched online for a few weeks and found a reasonably priced pair. We got them in the mail the other day. The first day she wouldn't keep them on. She has been getting better. They make her look so grown up!

New Calling

Jason and I have been team teaching Sunday School (12 year olds) since Sydney was born. It ahs been an amazing blessing in our life. Sunday I was released and called as the 2nd Counselor in The Primary Presidency. It came as no surprise. I knew it was that or Nursery. I was hoping for nursery in one way, but deep down I knew it'd be the other one. For the past month I've had a feeling I was going to get a new calling. I'll be over the Scouting Program. sO I'll have a lot to learn, but I'm excited. I went to the Blue and Gold last night. I'm terried of sharing time, but am looking forward to the blessings that will come into my and my family's life.

Car Seat

Sydney is finally 20 pounds! No more infant seat! I put in the big girl forward facing seat yesterday. I can finally be safer and have her in the middle seat. It's a bit of a challenge to get her in that position, but I'll get use to it. It was nice for her to look forward...

Helping Mom

Sydney loves to help me. She is always right there when I'm doing anything. She is finally picking up her toys. She puts them in the laundry basket, pushes them, then we put them away together. We baked a cake for Valentine's and she helped me.

We got a little snow. Sydney kept wanting to go outside. So we went out and she watched me shovel. Not long after I started, she was whining and wanted to go back inside. I went back to shoveling and left the door open so she could still look out. The first time I checked on her, she was on her tummy having a good time. Five minutes later, she was out! It was so cute!

I Love My Daddy!

Jason gets up for work at 12:30 at night. So we tuck him in. Lately Sydney has crawled into bed with him and cuddles. She gives him a good night kiss. Then she runs back and forth to the door at least 10+ times giving him mor kisses. It is so cute! She has become a daddy's girl again!

Our Little Diva

The pic is a little blurry because Sydney kept walking towards me. Sorry! We found this purse at Di for $1.50. It's brandnew. Sydney takes it everywhere!

15 Months Old

I can't believe our little girl turned 15 months old last week! It is going by too fast! I had her weighed when I had a dr. appt. last week. She is still 3 1/2 ounces away from weighing 20 lbs. So she is still in the infant car seat. Poor baby! I can't fit one of those convertible car seats in my Saturn. We went car seat shopping yesterday. We found one we thought was good, but didn't buy it yet. And it was actually $10 cheaper at Target, versus Walmart. I will probably pick it up next week. It got too late last night. Sydney is one busy girl these days; and very talkative. She know some animal sounds; cow, pig, dog, duck andf sheep. She thinks she owns all the chairs in the house. It's impossible to keep her down all the time. We've only had a few small falls so far. She loves to look at the "baby" (her) in the scrapbook. I can't keep her out of them when I am in the computer room. They are right at her level. I guess she could be getting into worse things. She continues to be "mommy's helper". It's so cute. Every time I get into the freezer downstairs to pull out meat for dinner, she has to take it up for me. Or when I need something out of the refrigerator, I call on my little helper to get it out for me. She's so proud to help. She loves to help with the laundry too. We are still working on cleaning up toys. Some days are better than others. One of her favorite toys right now is the laundry basket. She loves to push it around and pick up her toys and books. Then I try to show her how to put them away. We started going to the library a few weeks ago to a group called "Music and Movement". They sing songs and walk around. She is enjoying that more each week. It's so nice for her to be able to interact more than just Sunday. I'm weaning her from nursing. She's doing pretty good. I only allow her to nurse after 6pm till bedtime. I've stopped the nursing in the middle of the night a few days ago. I try to just rub her back to get her back to sleep. She actually slept all night last night. YEAH! It was so nice for me! I think I may dry up before she is ready to stop nursing. I want to nurse her for a few more months, but I'm not sure my body will allow that. She says lots of words. She only says one at a time usually, but we are so proud of her. She says, mama, dada, more, bye bye, pee pee (she says that when I'm changing her diaper, it's so funny), me, big, she's trying to say her cousin Sabria's name when she sees her on the computer, mine, bite, drink, baby, pretty, eye, teeth, night night, balloon, ball, no.... She also can finally nod her head yes. She is getting her fourth new tooth this month, so that makes 14 total! We are finally down to one nap a day. I usually read to her with lullabies softly playing in the background. She usually only lasts 10 minutes. I'm going to start doing that at night, since she falls asleep nursing. I forgot the best thing. I'm teaching her how to pray. She picked up quick on it. As soon as I say, lets say our prayers, she runs to the rocker in her bedroom and folds her arms! We are blessed to have a wonderful daughter who teaches us so much each day!
