Winter Dance Recital

S did awesome at her dance recital. She missed her dress rehearsal yesterday due to the snow, but you couldn't even tell. This is her friend Jordan. I'm so grateful that the sun came out today and melted teh ice off the roads. This morning it was a sheet of ice and no fun to drive in.

Temple Square Lights

After the gymnastics, we cruised on down to temple square to see all the amazing and glorious lights. I was worroed about parking, being a Friday and all, but I found one right by the conference center. I had to parallel park, which was  abit scary. I hadn't ever parralel parked the Toyota yet. With Jason's help, it wasn't bad. We only made it halfway through temple square and the kids were content. It was getting late. So we called it a night earlier than I wanted, but the kids had more than enough fun. I was just grateful that Jason actually came with us. He said how he doesn't see the point of looking at lights here, when we can be warm in the car driving around. I guess I'm just a kid myself. It's just magic for me.
I had to get a pic with just the girls!

Love this one. The girls, especially S were so camera/smile happy. I loved it!

It's pretty cool that they have an open digram of the inside of the temple.

The girls were being goofs, wanted their photos taken everywhere!
This one is probably my favorite!

Red Rock Gymnastics Preview

Jason took us up to the Utes Gymnastics last night. Traffic was  awful, but worth it for a free event. The one plus of him being unemployed right now is, we can do normal family stuff. Where as when he was working, we couldn't because of his schedule. So I am treasuring these times and memories we are making.

S was so into the cheerleaders!

They shot this up before every gymnast was intrduced and ran out. It was pretty cool.

S's favorite event was the balance beam.

Wrapping Caramel

I tried to make caramel for a Relief Society activity yesterday. I overcooked it a bit, so we kept it for ourselves. After it's in your hand for 15-30 seconds, it softens right up. To think I was going to waste this... Good thing I have a husband that is against wasting food.
