Christmas Day

Our baby girl was sick for Christmas. She woke up tons the night before and had a 103 temp on Christmas. Considering all that, she was actually a good sport! She just wouldn't each much for 48 hours. Now she's back to normal and eating like a horse!
Jason ended up getting up with Sydney at 3am and got her to watch some cartoons. The she fell asleep till about 7:30. he's really been great on his nights off to get up with her. I'm so blessed! I just need to show my appreciation more!

She loves her horsey! She found it a few times before Christmas. Every time we took it away to hide it, she got so upset!
My mom made Sydney's stocking. She did an amazing job! Thanks mom!
Sydney made Jason an ornament for Christmas.
I'm opening a keychain that holds digital pictures. I love it! I"m actually tryinh to get it going now!
All Jason wanted for Christmas was a tie with his MXPX band symbol on it. He kept bugging me about it. It was so hard to keep it a secret. My friend works at Bernina and was able to embroider it for me. Thanks Chris! I owe you big!
Sydney loves to vacuum in her new heels!

Christmas Eve

We went down to Nephi to Jason's grandma's. Jason got his traditional clam chowder. I sure missed having it! That's the one downfall of pregnancy...no seafood! I was grateful the roads were good and we were able to go down. It was nice to hang out with family again!
Sydney got a princess tea set from her great grandma. She loves it! It is definitely one of her top three from Christmas. I love how much she uses her imagination now!
On thanksgiving, I took a picture of grandma and two of her great granddaughters (Syd and Sabria). We printed it as a 5x7 and framed it. As you can tell, she's tickled!
Jason's mom loves the camera!
Grandpa kept pretending the hot chocolate in Sydney's new tea set was hot. She was busting a gut! It was so cute!
Our baby!
She loves her new shopping card from her grandparents!

Christmas Cookies

Sydney wanted popcorn for a snack the other day. She kept laughing and telling me teh popcorn was funny when it was popping. You had to be there!

Santa

I took Sydney to see Santa today at an old theater downtown. She was clinging to me with fear. She told him thank for the candy cane, but she was terrified!

New Treadmill

We bought the NordicTrack T7 si a week or so ago. We got it on Sears and have a year to pay it off with no interest. So that is a blessing. Jason wants to continue to run in races, but had a hard time breathing in the thin winter air. So we got one. Plus I've been wanting on for a long time. I got on it for the first time Monday and about died. It hurt my stomach so bad. I talk to my doctor about it yesterday and he says it's fine as long as I don't go longer than 30 minutes. Yah! It's a lot different on it when you're pregnant. It's just nice to be morning sicknes free finally. It's so nice to have energy and motivation to move around again.

Festival of Lights

We had a little family time tonight. There is a park nearby that does Christmas lights every ear for just $5.00 a car. I've been wanting to go for nine years now...I grew up with my mom taking us to see lights every Christmas Eve. Sydney loves Christmas lights and is understand ing so much now. What a perfect time to take her. She was a bit overwhelmed when we first drove in. She didn't know which side to look out on.
Yes, we still have snow!

As we drove up to this tunnel, real deer crossed. I love nature and God's creations!
This was the best shot I got of them...

It's hard to tell, but this is a frog leaping. It was pretty cool!

Yummm....Snow!

Sydney tried snow for her first time and thought it was good!

Playing In the Snow

Sydney's ready to roll... She needed help getting down the steps with all the bulky clothes!
The snow was so fine and powdery that she had a hard time sledding. I helped her sled in the last small storm we had and she loved it. Unfortunately our camera was in the shop then! Arg!

Sydney was helping shovel!
Then she decided to shovel snow back on the driveway!

Snow

We woke up to about four inches of snow this morning...

Another Girl

We went for our 20 wk. ultrasound back on the 18th. We are thrilled to be expecting another daughter! Sydney loves pointing to mommy's tummy and saying "baby sister". It's priceless!
*Sorry about the crooked pics. I was tired and frustrated with the scanner when I scanned them last week.

Banana Muffins

I had some leftover bananas from a baby shower yesterday. I made these this morning. Way too delicious and easy not to share...

Banana Muffins (makes 12 muffins)

3 or 4 Large bananas, mashed (the more bananas the moister, so I use 4)

1/2 cup white sugar (original recipe calls for 1 cup, but I don’t like them too sweet)

1 slightly beaten egg

1/3 cup melted margarine or butter

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups flour

Mix the mashed banana, sugar, egg and margarine together. Set aside. In a separate bowl, mix together baking soda, baking powder, salt and flour. Mix wet and dry ingredients all together, being careful not to over-stir! Pour into greased muffin tins, and bake in 350 degrees oven for approximately 20 minutes. Enjoy!

*These are much more flavourful the next day, and they freeze very nicely too!

Halloween

Just like last year, Sydney hated the head gear till we got going!

She almost fell asleep on the porch when we got home, and it was only a little after 7! She was so much fun this year. She didn't say trick or treat till halfway through, but she was pretty good about saying thank you.
