Sydney and Her Boxes

This is the box from Sydney's picnic table. Sometimes I question why I buy toys when she is happy as can be with boxes!

Surprise Visit

My mom called us yesterday and said she was in Casper, Wyoming. They were on their way here. They got her about 1:30am. They only got to stay one day, but we enjoyed having them. I'm glad that she finally got to meet Kimberly! When I told Sydney that Grandma was coming, she got so excited. I pointed to the picture of my mom and Sydney said that she didn't want to see that Grandma. She pointed to the other family picture to Jason's mom. It was cute! She warmed up to her within minutes if seeing her. She hasn't seen my mom since she was 8 months old. She talks on the the phone to her constantly.

My mom writing Sydney's name for her in her coloring book.
My good friend Sharon let us pick lots of apricots from her tree. So my mom and I made apricot freezer jam. It's these simple things I miss doing with my mom. I wish we didn't live almost 900 miles apart!

Grandma and the girls again...
I was glad that the picnic table came that day she was here. We payed for half of it with money my mom has sent her the last little while.
Sydney was in a trance when my mom and Sydney were taking the picnic table out of the box.
My mom was moving Kimberly's legs so roughly and she was just busting up!
Sharky and mom
So sad! I cried when they left. I'm such an emotional girl!

Sydney's First Molar

Sydney got her first two year molar today! I'm So EXCITED! It's her top left. It's about halfway through. These aren't the best pics, but it's a tough pic to take alone. Yes, I could have waited till Jason got home to take it, but I was too excited.

Cheese Girl

One of Sydney's favorite foods is cheese! I was making grilled cheese sandwiches. I turned to go to the fridge and...
I asked what she was doing and she said she was "eating her sandwich". How can I get mad at that?

Kimberly Playing With Toys

Kimberly has been able to hold onto toys for a while now. Today she actually reached out and chewed on them! The when she couldn't reach one of them, she got pretty frustrated. She's doing good at balancing herself in a sitting position when I prop her in the boppy pillow. I love that thing!I love watching her eyes! I especially love when I see determination in them!
I didn't get in on camera, but she got pretty mad and vocal when she couldn't reach that red hippo!
Isn't she too cute!?!!!
BTW...I got two of these hair bows for free at agarage sale Saturday! I love getting deals!

She's done!

Kimberly Sitting

Kimberly has become interested in sitting up. Jason had her on his lap yesterday, watching tv and sitting in the chair. She was fussy. Normally standing up pleases her. He sat her at his feet and she was thrilled!

4th of July 2010

We celebrated the 4th of July on Saturday and Monday. We had dinner with some friends and watched them blow up their fireworks. Then on Monday, Jason ran a 10k and we went to the parade. Oh yah, Sydney also was sick on Friday night with the fun of having it come out both ends. Kids love to get sick on the holidays, don't they?!I never get tired of watching Kimberly blow bubbles!
The fireworks were "too loud"! Sydney only enjoyed them indoors, looking out the window.
Before the race, which started at 7am...
So cute! It was kinda cold that morning till the sun came up.
Sydney loved playing at the playground while daddy ran big.
In a rush to the starting line, Jason accidentally stepped on the one mile mat. So his time was all messed up. From the pics I took, we gather he got around 50 minutes.
We are so proud of Jason!
The "too loud" pictures never get old! Sydney loved all of the parade except the sirens at the beginning.

Sydney's Favorite!
