Thanksgiving

We went to Jason's Grandma Bateman's for Thanksgiving. It waws a lot of fun, especially with Sydney walking. She didn't eat much for lunch or dinner. I didn't understand. She is such a good eater. But I founf out yesterday morning why. She woke up with a diarhea diaper seeping into her pjs. Let's just say that between 6am and 1pm we went through diapers! When we went to bed last night, I was so thankful she was better. Then at midnight I was woken with a crib of vomit. Poor baby! I don't know why I got her the flu shot. It didn't seem to do any good. I'm suppose to go this week for the other half of her dose, but we'll see... On a better note, her are some pics... Dad carving the turkey
Julie stirring the yummy gravy

The Feast
Pat was trying to get Tyler to try some cranberry salad, which he didn't like.

We had the camera on the tripod during lunch. Sydney kept reaching over to it and wanted me to take pictures of her. So I did...she's so sweet.

Jason put an olive on each of Sydney's fingers. We were excited when she ate tehm all. tehn , seconds later, they all came back out of her mouth. Silly girl!

Toothbrush

She loves her piggy slippers! She wears them all the time!

I bought Sydney her first big girl toothbrush last week. She was biting my finger a little too hard with her baby one. She loves it! She loves being a big girl and doing it herself. I brush them before she goes at it herself. I'm successful at this 75% of the time. She is becoming so independant. She really watches me brush mine and tries to mimic it. It's so cute!

Raking Leaves

Apples

I am slowly becoming more domestic. I bought a box of apples last week and canned apple pie filling and applesauce. It was actually pretty easy, just time consuming. Thank goodness for the apple peeler, slicer, corer. That was the best $23 I've spent in a long time. My neighbor has been letting me borrow her canning stuff. I hope to buy my own when it is stocked back onthe shelves. Next year I'm going to attempt to do peaches I hope...

I ended up with 14 Qts. of Filling and 11 1/2 pints of applesauce. I had put away the filling.

Sydney's New Toy

My mother in law gave me some jars in a box for canning. I was about to throw the box away the other day, but this is what I found when I went to grab it...

She loves to sit in there all stretched out reading books. It's so cute!

Stats and Shots

I took Sydney to the Health Dept. Monday for her one year check up and immunizations.
Length 29 1/2" long (72%)
Weight 18 lbs. 13 oz. (78%)
Head Circumference 18 3/4" (95%)
The we went across the hall for her shots. She got six including her first dose of the flu shot. She was suppose to get one more, but they were out. They will call us back when it is in. She had 2 shots in each thigh and one shot in each arm. Poor baby! She was miserabley sore and feverish yesterday. She's bruising today, but a lot better.

I don't know what is up with the tongue! She has been doing this for a few days now. So cute though!

Halloween

Sydney wasn't too thrilled to put on her alligator/ croc. costume.
She's trying to pull off her head.

Hat? What hat? Look at my pumpkin!

EEE! Want some of my candy? I didn't think she's really enjoy halloween as much as she did. She was so cute standing at people's doors holding her pumpkin. When someone gave her candy, she's try to share and give one back.

She got a sucker when Jason was giving out candy.

Mommy and Babygirl! She kept trying to take off with the groups of kids as they trick or treated at our house. I love being a mom!
