Owlz Game

We met up with some good friends for our first Owlz game of the season. They are the farm team for the Angels. Sydney was a little unsure of the mascots. She was okay with Hootz at first.
When we stepped over to his wife Holly, she didn't want anything to do with her. I can understand how scary mascots are through a toddler's eye.
Good old picture of watching the game; Sydney, Jason, Nick, Heather and their little boy Emmett. Emmett is 2 months older than Sydney. So they like playing together. Since both of them are each an only child, it is good for them to play together. Nick and Heather are Sydney's Nursery teachers. They are so good in there.

They have a playground at the field. This is Sydney's first time going down a windy slide. She loved it of course. She did give us a scare. She climbed up to the big kid slides and almost walked right off the edge. Thank goodness there was a boy up there that was able to stop her faster than I could climb up there.

Bottom of the ninth, one person on base, two outs and we hit a home run!

We won 8-7.

T-Ball

Time for a little catch up... Our camera was in the shop for two weeks. The power up button was dying. When you turned on the camera, it didn't display what you were taking a picture of. I'm so glad we purchased a 4 year service plan with Best Buy. It would have been $202.00 to fix if we hadn't.
We bought Sydney a Little Tyke T-ball a few weeks ago. She loves it!

Parade and Carnival

Saturday morning was our annual ward breakfast. I decided to not take my pain medication and take Sydney. She had a blast. I had friends offer to take her to the parade so I could go home and rest, but I declined. Sydney really enjoyed the parade once she figured out that she could run out and pick up candy. By the time I got home, I was in tears because of the pain from my bottom right wisdom tooth area. So I took some med. and passed out for a few hours.

I tried to buy her a quiet tiara, but of course she had to have the noisy horn like the kids next to us had...
Later that afternoon we met up with some friends at the carnival. I was good till my painkiller wore off. Sydney rode a few rides with her friend Emmett and had a blast. She only rode the merry go round last year, so this was a new experience for her. She screamed when we pulled her off that first ride. She wanted to keep riding. All the pain was worth the happiness it brought our daughter.

Wisdom Teeth

I had three wisdom teeth pulled on Friday. I was worried about going under, but that part was cake! Within probably 15 seconds of starting the butterfly IV, I was out. I told him the room felt weird. He said, like spinning? I said no, then I was being wheeled in a wheelchair out to my friends car. After Jason got home, I took my pain medication and was out for like 5 hours, when he had to wake me up so he could go to bed. Recovery hasn't been the funest, but I'm glad to have gotten them out finally!

The Big 30

The three of us celebrated Jason 30th birthday last Sunday.

Potty Training

I've been potty training Sydney a bit. Sometimes she only gets on once a day. I'm trying not to push her. I'm just doing it on her terms. We've been working at it for a few weeks now. Last Saturday, she did a little poo. I got all excited and praised her. She had no idea what what going on though. Oh well! Mommy is still proud!

5 K

Time to play catch up....
Jason ran in the 5K family run last weekend for Art City Days. We are so proud of him!

He finished 24 minutes, 52 seconds! Way to go Jason!

Utah Hogle Zoo

We took Sydney up to the zoo a few days ago. She loved it. She's so grown up, climbing up and sitting on all the fences! Here are a some pics... Sorry there are so many, but I had a hard time picking!
Sydney was afraid of this spinning ball that had water on it. We tried to get her to touch it when we walked out too, but she didn't want any part of it.

This is the first thing you walk into in the Madagascar area. Sydney loves water, but not this waterfall!
They had this little area you could walk through with nocturnal animals. I think it wa smostly a play area to kids. They had areas you had to duck to get to with these holes of light. Sydney didn't want to leave she loved it so much!

Grandma's Birthdays

Since Jason had this week off, we thought we'd surprise his grandmas on Monday with flowers for their birthdays this month.

Basketball

I did a little babysitting last month and made some extra spending money. SO I bought Sydney a basketball set. She loves it!

I just had to share this one to show how long her hair is getting. She still hasn't had her first cut yet. I'm not sure if I want to do that anytime soon. We have been lucky how evenly it has grown in.

So Grown Up!

Sprinkler

Sydney had her first dip in the sprinkler. She really didn't like it too much. I tried to trick her with putting her watering can by it, but she wouldn't go for it. I also tried to put the sprinkler under her slide and another no go. She just go her legs a little wet. I found her swimsuit half off. I love finding good deals!
