10 Months Old

I'm a week late posting, but I did take this on the 23rd. I can't believe Sydney is ten months old already. In just two months she'll be one! Boy has it gone fast! Sydney continues to be our active, crazy girl. She understands no, but has a mind of her own. She can be a bit stubborn. I'm not sure if that is the german from my side or the Parkin side. She is definately a girl with a lot of determination. It's a good thing, but I probably won'y be aying that when she's a teenager. She can now use her sippy herself. She has been able to for a few months, But I don't have much patience. She was always dumping it over and dropping it on the floor. She really likes vents: heater vents and especially our out went by the kitchen. She is able to stand up on her own from squating and is pretty proud of that. In church she tands there for a long time and enjoys all the attention. She is definately all girl! I'm so grateful to be able to stay at home and watch her grow. She is truly a joy and light in our life.

Crazy Week

Last week was a crazy week! I had something going on every night, which is unusual. I've become quite the homebody since Sydney's been born... My friend Stephanie got married last week. We went to her bridal shower Monday. We went to another Owlz game Tuesday. I hada dentist appt. that turned into 2 1/2 hours. I've learned to leave Sydney at home for that. Stephanie had her wedding dinner Thursday. We went to the county fair with friends Friday night. Then to end the week, I was able to witness my girlfriend's marriage in the Salt Lake City Temple. It was amazing. They had a ring ceremony and reception later in the evening. Her a re a few pics from the week...
The bridal shower ran late, got over around ten. Way past the bear's bedtime!

Our BiG GirL!

Sydney got to meat the Owlz mascot Hootz. I was glad she didn't cry.

She liked the sheep at first, but quickly changed her mind when we were alone with it.

This is at the fair with our friends Tonja and Matt. Jason was home sleeping. He works Friday nights.

Stephanie and her husband James.

The ring ceremony
Sydney found someone's shoes when Jason was taking pics of us. She is obsessed with shoes!
Stephanie and her bridesmaids and two extra friends. We stand out a bit!

2 More Teeth

I just found 2 more teeth in Sydney's mouth. She's been a little rotten in the middle of the night and I went a little crazy last night. Now we know why! I had a friend call me this morning and invite me to go to the temple with her. Jason said go and enjoy. I have such a wonderful husband!

My Happy Girl!

There's one! It's to the right of the two middle teeth. I thought those came in first?! I also thought teeth come in one at a time, but it has been two at a time for Sydney. Poor girl!

Miss Dracula! It was hard trying to get a picture!

Sydney's First Owlz Game

We took Sydney to her first Owlz game Thursday. The Owlz are in the pioneer league for the Anaheim Angels. We were blessed to get a seat that only had a few people next to us on one side and none on the other. It was nice. We were able to keep the stroller out and it gave Sydney room to breathe. She was so good! I don't think she would have been if we would have more people around us. She got spoiled and shared some ice cream with mama. She didn't get to meet Hootz the mascot. She probably would have been afraid of him. Maybe next time! We ended up winning 9-0.

The Living Aquarium

Little Nemo!

They hada big pool full od stingrays you could touch. Jason said they felt like wet fur. I was too chicken to do it.

They had some cool little caves for pictures and to crawl through. We even talked to Big Budda from Fox 13 News.

Captain Sydney! They had a boat that moved and had a little movie. Sydney liked it.

Gotta love the eel!

The jellyfish were really cool to look at. They had a corner of tanks full of them. They kinda reminded me of the Spongebob Squarepants cartoon.

Seahorse

It was so nice that Sydney was able to touch the tanks and get a close up view. It was an okay aquarium. A little overpriced for what it was, but it was still fun.

Kennecott Copper Mine

Jason was on vacation last week. We stayed around here. We went to Kennecott Copper Mine. It was really cool and really cheap! Only $5 a car. It was a pretty steep drive up to it, but so worth it!

Look at me mama! Climbing the big tire with my daddy!
I see my mama!
