Big Girl Bed

I wanted to wait till K was two before I started to move her to the bottom bunk, but I gave up on the battle of crib climbing. She did great last night!

Booster seat

Today I noticed at dinner that K knows how to open her straps on her booster seat. I hope she doesn't figure out her car seat too soon. About a week ago she learned how to put on her sandals all by herself. It's so great. She may put them on the wrong feet sometimes, but oh well.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We made these in preschool this week! K preferred a pencil.

Another Challenge

While I was finishing up dinner tonight, K unlocked and opened the front door all by herself. What am I going to do with this girl???!!!

TERRIBLE TWOS!!!

I don't what I am going to do with this girl! She was the best baby and now she is quite the handful... Yesterday S and were last minute vacuuming before preschool. I had an impression the check on quiet little K downstairs, but ignored it. A few minutes later, she came up and showed me what she was doing. I couldn't get mad. The markers were in her reach. I calmly (believe it or not) explained to her that we color on paper, not our body, which is a temple. I'm not sure she understood too much, but I was able to get a lot of it off with dish soap and acetone. Today she fought for over an hour with her nap. She still needs a nap. It's just a power struggle. Jason found a frightened girl in her bedroom with a water globe shattered on the carpet. Nothing more fun than cleaning up glass, glitter and water before I had to run off to scouts! I guess putting something pretty on the dresser was a mistake when she can just climb up on the changing table and grab it. On the bright side...at least we aren't potty training on top of all this madness! Arg!!!

K Potty

K used the potty for the first time this afternoon. I've had it out for 4-5 months to familiarize her with it. I'm not potty training. She kept telling me poop poo when I changed her diaper before nap. I sat her on there with some books while I sat on the toilet seat and read the ward newsletter. All of the sudden she did #2. At first she didn't know what to think, but was happy when we all were in there hi-5ing her. I think S was the most excited. K has told me on a number of occasions poo poo, but I didn't think she knew what she was talking about. After learning with S the first time around, I'm not going to get too excited and start potty training tomorrow. We'll see what she decides and go from there. Now if she would just talk already...
