Spanish Fork Canyon

11 Months Old

Sydney turned 11 months old Tuesday. I can't believe it! She is one busy girl! She absolutely loves water. She charges for the bathroom when she hears the shower turn on. IT doesn't matter if it's Jason or me getting in. She also thinks it is fun to lift up the toilet seat and play in the water. She is becoming a daddy's girl again. When he goes to bed at night, we give him hugs and kisses, then shut the door. She'll crawl back to the door, hit it and cry. It's so funny! She started taking steps more consistently 2 weeks ago. She is up to 11 steps now. She'll be walking by her birthday next month. Crazy! She loves to play out from on the cement and eat rocks. She is getting better about not sucking on them so much. She loves to push her stroller outside too. She gets so proud of herself. She is more into everything, if that's possible! She loves the phone. If I'm nursing her to put her down for a nap and the phone rings, she freaks out if I ignore it. She won't sleep after that. She loves to play ball. She has a super small football, and aversize football and mini basketball. She loves when Jason and I play ball too. As soon as one of us lays on the floor or crawls, she'll squeal and get so excited. She also loves this little orange truck that has a handle where the the seat would be. She loves pushing it around. Other than that, she is just a very active and growing girl!

Good Find

We were almost home from the grocery store Saturday when Jason spotted a garage sale. We got this horse for only three bucks! And Sydney loves it. I love finding those expensive hard plastic toys for cheap at garage sales. I'm sad to see the season coming to an end.

No No

Last Monday Sydney learned how to shake her head no. It's so cute. Jason is trying to teach her how to nod yes, but she thinks he is silly...

Kite Festival

We went to Spanish Fork's first Kite Festival last Saturday. Here are a few pics...

They had guys on two jet skis pulling kites over the Spanish Fork Reservoir.

They had an open area where the public could fly their own kites. They also had a booth set up for kids to make paper kites if they didn't have one. Sydney was mostly into rocks.

First Steps

Sydney took her first steps today!!! Her and I were at the SAturn dealership waiting. She was standing near an end table. She was holding her cup with both hands smiling away. Then she took a step sideways towards the table and slid her other foot, did it again, and then a third time and grabbed the table. I couldn't believe it! Everyone has been telling me she is going to take off soon and I'm like "whatever". I'm cool with the crawling. She made us proud today. I just wish Jason could have been there. Hopefully she'll do it again soon. She has a tendency of doing something once and then stopping for a while. As we left the neighbors tonight, she waved bye bye to them. Not just once either. Today we have so blessed. Our little princess is getting so big!
