Swimming

Sydney loves her new pool! We took her out in it the other day for the first time. I think she thought it was weird at first...being in water with a diaper and clothes on! But as you can see, she quickly found the joy in it!

Stairs

Our baby is growing up! This is her new trick she showed us today. Jason showed her how to do this a week or so ago, but she couldn't get past the first step. Jason was on the computer and she took off, all 14 steps! Boy do we have our hands full now!

Pulling Self Up

We finally got Sydney on video pulling herself up. She started to clap at the beginning of the month. Yesterday she pat a caked with me. When she grabbed the cords by the tv yesterday, I clapped to get her attention. She just turned around, clapped and smiled. How can you get mad?

Mom Gone

My mom's boyfriend Sharky drove down from Wa to pick her up Sunday. They stayed for dinner and then headed up to Wyoming for their vacation. I was sad to see her go. It was so nice to have her here and especially to get to know Sydney. I was pretty emotional the rest of the night about it.

Busy Body

Now that Sydney can crawl, she is into everything! Her favorite place is in the kitchen. She loves getting into the drawers! She slammed her fingers in this drawer a bunch of times that night. She has now learned and doesn't do that anymore. She looks just like Jason in the last picture!

Jason's Birthday

We had a BBQ to celebrate Jason's 29th birthday. I was really worried about the weather. It was ugly in the morning, but warmed up by the afternoon. It was great having my mom here to celebrate with us and to interact with his family as well.

I thought it would save money to buy a ten pound box of 40 hamburger patties. Last year I never had to thaw them out and they were sitting in loose plastic. This time they were sealed off good. Jason and his dad tried to use a knife and hit them on the edge of the counter. I ended up running to the store and bought some different ones.

Sydney does so good drinking from a cup. She loves and Grandma Parkin and Great-GRandma Bateman.

Sydney ate on the deck. She had some beets. Boy are those messy!

Baby Contest

We entered Sydney into the Springville Art City Day's Baby Contest. She didn't win, but she was the Cutest!!! It was precious to watch Jason be such a proud daddy!

Sometimes it's fun to just be a kid. My mom bought some bubbles from the dollar store for Sydney. She loves them! Everytime we walk by the bottle she hollars at me to blow them with her!

We surprised Grandma Bateman with a visit on Wednesday. Her birthday was Monday. She was tickled to see us.

We took my mom up to Bridal Veil Falls last Tuesday. Hardly anyone was there. It was gorgeous!

Lasy Wednesday Sydney sat up from the tummy position! It was so cute! I kept clapping when she did it. She thought I was silly!

Big Girl Bath!

Sydney took her first bath in the big girl tub Saturday night! Yah! She loved it!

Mom Arrived

My mom flew in Thursday night. Sydney and I picked her up from the airport. Parking stessed me out! I couldn't figure out how to get above the bottom floor of the parking garage. The bottom floor was just for rental car returns. I drove around 5 times. My mom's plane got there early! I finally got the courage to try the outside economy parking. That was so Easy! We shuttled over to pick upmy mom and were out of the lot in less that 60 minutes, so it was free! Can't beat that. Sydney loved my mom! Snuggled right up to her!

Sleeping on own
