Sydney loves to shred up the dry leaves outside. She also loves to rip paper. She's moved on...

9 Months Old

Sydney turned 9 months old yesterday! CrAzY!!! It sure has gone by fast! She weighs 17 1/4 lbs. and is 27 inches long. She is a busy girl! Always into something! It's usually sometyhing that she isn't suppose to be in. Who needs toys with so many neat things to explore. She is so fun to watch as she learns and discovers. She is becoming more confident with cruising along the furniture. She is a bookworm already. She enjoys being read to, but is just as entertained sitting on the floor looking at books herself. It's a nice quiet habit. I'm glad I began reading to her so young. She loves to pull DVD's and cds off the shelf when I am on the computer or scrapbooking. As a matter of fact, she is doing that right now! We are always singing the song "She's So Vain". She loves to see herself on the computer. She'll flap her arms, smile and squeal when she sees her own image. As you can tell, she is a happy girl. She smiles and claps at everything. It's so cute!!! She has become a serious mama's girl lately. She always thinks twice when Jason picks her up from a nap. Usually she is looking for me immediantly. She use to be such a daddy's girl. Thank goodness this is only a phase.

MAMA

Sydney is growing more and more. She is now saying mama and mam. It's so cute! She started mumbling it a few days ago, but didn't really know it. Last night she looked right up at me and said mama!

Daddy's Helper

Sydney loves the lawn mower! She gets so excited when we mow the lawn. It's really nice because she'll just sit in her stroller and squeal when you mow. Daddy spoiled her a bit Saturday.

4th of July

Sydney and Mama stayed the night in Nephi. Jason had to work that night. So he stayed home. His parents had a BBQ.

Here's Sydney up way past her bedtime. She fell asleep around 10:15.

First Cracker

Sydney ate her first cracker on Friday. She loved it! Ate it like a pro! She's only been eating solids for two months, but you wouldn't know it. She also had some frog eye salad that night. She ate some cut up canned peaches on Saturday. She thinks she can eat everything we eat now.

Mommy's Helper

Sydney loves to help! She takes off everything in her reach on the changing table. Then she empties her toy box. this is a daily occurance. She has so much fun!

Tomatoes

This is kinda silly to post, but I'm pretty proud of myself. I grew up with a greenhouse and garden, but never took the time to learn from my mom. We don't have a place for a garden. So I planted some tomatoes in pots. Last night I picked my first tomato! It tasted so good!!!! I did learn one thing from these tomato plants. Even though they are in pots, they still need to be caged. I didn't realize that till last week when my cherry tomato plant was laying on it's side. I had to frantically find some cages and jimmy them on. What an adventure!

First Teeth

Sydney cut her first two teeth this morning!!! She was drooling like a fountain yesterday. Last night she woke up a lot. She just wanted to be held. Nearly every time I layed her back down, she'd wake up screaming. Poor baby! She's been a little fussy today. Hopefully she'll get better as they fully cut through. They are barely through. I had a difficult time getting a picture...

*Update on her climbing the stairs... She loves them so much. She will actually run (crawl) away from me so fast to climb them. She is definately the BOSS!
